Find out more
Christmas in Provence is the time of santon figurines on display in fairs and exhibitions: made of clay, wood or wax, these colourful little people come to life before the enthralled gaze of old and young alike.

Each nativity scene tells the story of Provence, a hamlet, a beloved village or an invented tale of the ideal Provençal village: a bridge here, a flock of sheep there, a mill, a town hall, the Nativity stable: a whole setting takes shape.

Discover the magic of Avignon's nativity scenes with a specialist guide.
The tour includes: the churches of Les Célestins, St Didier- St Pierre - St Agricol – the ND des Doms metropolitan basilica (visible from 25 December).

Length: 2 hr - 20 people maximum.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
You are recommended to wear a mask (not provided).
The tour takes place outdoors and indoors.
The size of the rooms visited allows social distancing between the participants.
