April is the month of Easter and of course, chocolate. Even though you can eat chocolate all year round, Easter is the time to get creative with your chocolate, with artisans competing to create a range of imaginative products that wow our eyes as well as our taste buds.

There is an art to making chocolate look good whilst also tasting great. Chocolatiers toy with different shapes and colours to achieve the most ingenious creations and make us fall in love with every bite; whether it’s subtle blends of white, milk or dark chocolate, gold leaf detail or novel themes, craftsmen keep searching for new ways to make their products original.
In terms of flavours, chocolatiers incorporate products from Provence; Aline Géhant, for instance, infuses her ganache with thyme and the Lencieux chocolate factory uses almonds from Provence.


A fond favourite
Mehdi, Authentique‘s artisan chocolatier, is one of the few chocolatiers in France to roast his own cocoa beans. Savour the original chocolates and flavoured ganaches, or treat yourself to an old-fashioned hot chocolate.
