Visit Vaison la Romaine and explore the illustrious remains bequeathed to us by the Roman Empire (ancient theatre, 2 Gallo-Roman districts of Puymin and la Villasse, extending over 15 hectares). The area is dominated by Mont-Ventoux, the so-called Giant of Provence, renowned amongst cycling enthusiasts, and a listed biosphere reserve. The mountain offers a range of activities as well as an opportunity to discover some unique varieties of flora and fauna.
