With its natural sculptures in a Mediterranean landscape, this is a special place for rock climbing fans and hikers without forgetting the prestigious local wines. There are several areas nearby which are ideal places for a holiday.
This admirable mountain (known as Mons mirabilis) bears its name well.Finely chiselled by erosion, seen from far away it looks like a majestic piece of stone lace work, a true sculpture reaching 755m high. It is the first outcrop of the Alps in the Rhône Valley, but make no mistake, the vegetation is typically Mediterranean, a kingdom of aromatic plants, green oaks and Aleppo pines. As for the vines planted on its flanks, today they produce prestigious vintages. The Dentelles de Montmirail will seduce you with the variety of activities on offer: Strolling through the charming hilltop villages such as Séguret (listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France"), Gigondas and Sablet and outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, mountain biking and rock climbing.
