"Proposed races: - Discovery trail 7 & 15 km - A 7.5 km course, with a 3 kilometre climb at the start, which turns into a lovely woodland path leading down to the Villelaure plain and passing through the Marderic riverbed for 2 km, before culminating in a stunning climb to a beautiful clearing where runners will circle back round to the start line. A rolling course in its second half, despite a good climb, open to beginners who want to try walking the course as well as to runners who want to try a short-distance performance (100m D+) - The second 15.5km course’s first 3 kilometres are the same as those of the first course on rue Forbin de Janson, passing through the parc du Cèdre de Villelaure and then the site de Tresemines, before heading up the hill which overlooks Villelaure. The climb passes through vineyards and forests, and is quite tough in its last part. Once at the top, after a refreshment, the course continues in large segments, alternating between the DFCI road and forest paths, which will not leave trail lovers disappointed. These paths will lead the runner to their second refreshment, and to the DFCI road for the last third of the course. The descent back down will be via a path down the Val Joanis side of the hill, before coming back onto the DFCI road overlooking the northern Glénettes, and passing via a 3rd water refreshment. The last 3 kilometres downhill will offer competitors an ideal opportunity for attack! A course reserved for trained runners who enjoy a good climb (450 m D+).
