The 3rd Boucles du Soleil bike ride will take place in Gordes on July 12, 2026. Four non-competitive routes, winding through lavender fields, hilltop villages, and breathtaking views, organized by the FFC.
For all cycling enthusiasts and sports lovers looking for exciting challenges, the Club Gordes Vélo Évasion is organising the 3rd edition of the Boucles du Soleil on Sunday 12 July 2026, under the auspices of the French Cycling Federation.
This cycle tour, with no rankings or timekeeping, is open to both amateurs and experienced cyclists alike. It can be enjoyed with friends or family (subject to age restrictions) and allows participants to complete one or more combined routes throughout the morning.
The routes follow iconic roads in Provence, between the Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse, passing through hilltop villages, rocky landscapes and fields of lavender in full bloom, set against a unique backdrop.
The routes on offer
- 36 km – 545 m elevation gain “The Family Route”
- 41 km – 571 m elevation gain “Discovery” – Open to adults and unaccompanied minors aged 15 and over.
- 54 km – 1,070 m elevation gain “The hilltop villages” – Open to adults and minors aged 15 and over when accompanied.
- 55 km – 1,100 m elevation gain “Between the Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse” – Open to adults only.
