"But also beginners’ guides, tasting records, wine dictionaries, or even an Enthusiast Dictionary… This just shows the passion humans have had since Antiquity for an economic activity that employs almost 200,000 people in France today, and which forms one of the jewels of the French local heritage. The exhibition and the works presented give you the opportunity to delve into the history of vine growing, the vinification techniques etc. through time, countries, and regions, as the Vaucluse is not the last of the French departments to be able to pride itself with several crus classés, the reputation of which goes beyond our borders. The exhibition is organised along with books for all audiences (children and adults). Exhibition provided by the Service Livre et Lecture (Books and Reading Department) of the Vaucluse Department."
