Kenneth Weiss in concert

The Margrave of Brandenburg commissioned these 'Six Concertos, for several instruments' from Bach. The six concertos are masterful and seem to represent the essence of the musical art of the Baroque era, forming among themselves a small-scale encyclopedia which demonstrates all the possibilities offered by the concerto genre in its overall and universal meaning. For this performance, the Baroque music festival 'Musique Baroque en Avignon' welcomes the Avignon- Provence national orchestra for the very first time, conducted by the great harpsichordist Kenneth Weiss.
