In a near-future where technology reigns supreme, Don Quixote decides to live his life as in the books. Accompanied by his faithful companion Sancho Panza, he dreams of defending the oppressed, and invents his own life through his exploits.
The two accomplices are about to embark on some fantastic adventures, battling digital giants and data mills to become internet icons in spite of themselves. The ordeals they endure spread massively on social networks, as did the legend that now accompanies them.
Don Quixote tries to find the meaning of his own existence in this digital world controlled by an artificial intelligence called Dulcinea, with whom he falls in love.
Adored and mocked, called both madman and genius, Don Quixote persists in his irresistible quest. Freely inspired by the novel by Cervantes, the fabulous story of Don Quixote sublimates an imaginary world in which hope survives.
Through Théâtre du Corps, Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault create a new choreography pitting human against machine, jerky movements against the lyricism of the two protagonists, mind control against the will to transcend the world.
