Event in Avignon :
Nathalie Saint-Oyant, an associate artist, presents an exhibition that resonates with a selection of works from the Angladon Museum—Jacques Doucet Collection.
In collaboration with IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances) and Maebh McCurtin, an exclusive perfumer, the paintings step outside their frames and take on a life of their own.
An innovative approach, in keeping with the spirit of the collection, a symbol of modernity.
For Nathalie Saint-Oyant, “this project was born from a simple conviction: visual familiarity does not exhaust our understanding of a work of art. We must look beyond what meets the eye.”
The exhibition, composed of sculptural works whose materials seem to breathe, resonates with a selection of paintings from the permanent collection. It invites visitors to approach them through another sensory prism: smell—not as an illustration of the visible, but as a subjective interpretation.
And since we are in the world of Jacques Doucet, the great fashion designer of the Belle Époque, it is textiles that convey this interpretation.
