La Villa Créative

The Villa Créative brings together the academic, artistic and entrepreneurial worlds to create a hybrid place for trans-disciplinary experimentation and creation, where citizens can meet, anchored in the local area and with an international reach.

Year-round, Villa Créative is committed to forging links between the arts, sciences and society. It stands at the crossroads of knowledge, technologies, audiences and the issues of social transition and planetary preservation. Open to the community, Villa Créative's ambition is to create a "University outside the University", through the dissemination of knowledge and the demonstration of the creative process for the arts and the scientific process for research.

An inspiring & open garden
Open to all, the Villa Créative garden offers a breath of fresh air amid the urban sprawl of Avignon's inner city. The soil decontamination carried out during the rehabilitation project has enabled us to reclaim this outdoor space and reintegrate biodiversity.
The garden is now a calm, welcoming, harmonious, convivial and relaxing space. A natural space of transition, sharing and encounter, it accompanies the rhythms of the Villa Créative.
Every year, the Festival d'Avignon takes place here, making it an identifiable haven and landmark, open to the city and the world, where different audiences meet and interact.
