Its yellow and red soils dotted with Scots pines also define its uniqueness, with soils rich in gypsum, silica sand and ochre. The exploitation of its quarries peaked in the 19th century before eventually coming to an end.
Walking trails allow you to explore the ochre-rich land starting from the Lac des Salettes. This artificial lake, spanning over 2 hectares and featuring a fine sandy beach, is ideal for swimming. It is classified as Category 2 for fishing and is particularly abundant in black bass.

A must : the two local fairs :
Asparagus festival the last sunday of April
The "ban des vendanges" on the last Friday of August marks the start of the grape harvest.
