The Fort is a medieval system of military defence that is unique in Provence, perched on a rocky outcrop in the heart of the Luberon Regional Nature Park.
Located in the Aiguebrun valley, this ancient Ligurian-Celtic oppidium constitutes Provence's most significant rupestrian site.
Visitors can enjoy exploring La Baume du Fort, the Protohistory path, the fort's cunning defences and water tanks, the remains of the medieval village, the hidden staircase and the 13th-century fortress with successive ramparts, along with several archaeological mysteries - and an exceptional panoramic view.
