Small, informative museum where you’ll learn all the secrets of the truffle, and, if you’re lucky, get to meet an enthusiastic truffle producer who’ll answer all your questions and share their love and knowledge of truffles with you.

The museum building, which adjoins a 12th century Templar house, demonstrates the importance that the people of Richerenches accord not only to their historic culture but also their gastronomy. Once the Truffle market is officially proclaimed open and the famous mass celebrated, throughout the winter, the village becomes a shrine to the so called “black diamond.”

Don’t miss the weekly truffle market, held on Saturday mornings between mid-November and mid-March.

Free entrance; self-guided tours.

Opening hours: contact the tourist information office: +33 0(4) 90 28 05 34. Closed Sundays.
