Beaumes de Venise is a charming village, protected from the Mistral by the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range, and boasts fertile land and a mild climate. Visitors come here to enjoy outdoor activities but also to sample its fine wines. The Tourist Office is open all year round.

Stay in this “Station verte de Vacances” (Eco Tourism destination), in the middle of well-preserved countryside where you can hike, climb, cycle and go mountain biking. Beaumes de Venise has also been recognized as a Site Remarquable du Goût (site of remarkable flavour), on account of its muscat, planted by Greek colonists around 600 BC. Take a drive (in a 4x4) or stroll around its vineyards, whose wines – including its red wines - are classified Cru de la Vallée du Rhône. At the foot of the village are olive groves. The oil produced can be purchased at the mill : visits, shop on site and tasting sessions. Also worth seeing, a real gem of 12th century Roman art, is the Chapelle Notre-Dame-d’Aubune bell tower which overlooks the village. Its priory is a listed historic monument. Enquire about guided visits at the Tourist Office. Winter opening hours: from Monday to Saturday, 9am to midday and 1-5 pm Summer opening hours: from Monday to Saturday, 9am to midday, 2-6 pm And Sunday from 10am to 1pm from 14th July to 15th August
