Stay in this “Station verte de Vacances” (Eco Tourism destination), in the middle of well-preserved countryside where you can hike, climb, cycle and go mountain biking. Beaumes de Venise has also been recognized as a Site Remarquable du Goût (site of remarkable flavour), on account of its muscat, planted by Greek colonists around 600 BC. Take a drive (in a 4x4) or stroll around its vineyards, whose wines – including its red wines - are classified Cru de la Vallée du Rhône. At the foot of the village are olive groves. The oil produced can be purchased at the mill : visits, shop on site and tasting sessions. Also worth seeing, a real gem of 12th century Roman art, is the Chapelle Notre-Dame-d’Aubune bell tower which overlooks the village. Its priory is a listed historic monument.
