Summer festivals in Vaucluse
Summer has finally arrived, bringing with it the promise of major theatre, dance and music festivals. Let’s take a look at the great moments that will accompany the new season in Vaucluse!
Unmissable events
An abundance of major festivals is waiting for you.
The programme for the Avignon Theatre Festival will run from the 5th to the 26th of July.
As for the Off festival in Avignon, its fringe version, it will run on the same dates and you can book tickets directly on the website, or just let yourself be inspired by their street performances while you’re here!
The Chorégies d’Orange, an opera festival held at the roman theatre of Orange, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will take place from 13 June to 25 July.
From 9th to 23rd of July, admire the choreography of the dancers from Vaison Danse in Vaison-la-Romaine, a festival that also takes place at a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Always held at Vaison-la-Romaine, the large-scale choral festival “Choralies”, will take place from July 30th to August 7th.
Finally, in the Luberon, the evenings of July 5th and October 5th will be enlivened by concerts and events focusing on classical music from the Musicales du Luberon.

– Soirées d’été de Gordes, 4th – 11th August

Throughout the summer, various daytime and evening events in Vaucluse will mark your calendars.
– On June 14th and 15th and July 8th, Dances under the stars at the Bruoux Mines in Gargas
– At the beginning of July, the nuits du Château at the Tour d’Aigues present a festival of dance
– In July, enjoy open-air shows with the Festival Villeneuve en scène
– In July, be entertained by the theatrical programme of the Nuits de l’enclave
– August 9th and 10th, the Festival Font’Arts transforms Pernes-les-Fontaines into a vast stage for street theatre
