Laurent Robert comes from a family of winegrowers for the Rasteau cooperative winery. In 1999, he decided to create his own domaine, and rented a winery near Vaison-la-Romaine to start up his business. In 2003, he bought his own winery, and bottled his first 2003 vintage in 2004.
Since then, he has practiced his craft with passion, producing authentic wines in his own image, while respecting the atypical terroir of Rasteau.
The name Combe Julière comes from a slope on one of his plots. The average age of the vines is 60 years, and one parcel is a hundred years old.

Since 2009, the estate has been certified viticulture raisonnée. This integrated protection label covers all aspects of the estate's activity, from grape production to vinification, from bottling to waste management.
The estate's wines are wines for laying down. Like the winemaker, they have character. On the palate, they reveal spicy notes and the powerful terroir of Rasteau. These wines mature with time, and after a few years' ageing, they express all their aromas.
