Le Carré du Palais must not be missed in Avignon, the Capital of Côtes du Rhône wines. The Carré du Palais is, among other things, a restaurant famous for its AOC wines, its cellar with 10,000 bottles in the former safe from when the building was the Banque de France, and its beautiful terrace overlooking the Palace of the Popes.
Le Carré du Palais is the reference for AOC Côtes du Rhône and Rhone Valley wines, in the very heart of Avignon, where you can enjoy wine-tastings in the cellar, and attend its School of Wine.
Le Carré du Palais is also a restaurant, with a superb bistro menu inspired by the Rhône Valley and Provence. Here, the dishes are paired with 100% Rhône wines. Rhône wines are the guest of honour wherever you look - the monthly selection of wines by the glass changes with each passing month, over 400 references à la carte (red, white, rosé, natural sweet wines)...
