To mark the 400th anniversary of the birth of the Marquise de Sévigné, this lecture will explore the connection between Valréas and Grignan, the Château de Simiane and the Château de Grignan, through the story of Madame de Sévigné and her daughter, Pauline de Simiane. The lecture will take place in the main hall of the Château de Simiane, surrounded by costumed characters. Discussions will continue over drinks with the speaker and members of the Friends of the Château association.
