The vocal ensemble Rubato et Compagnie shares its taste for Baroque music and the exploration of learned and popular musical worlds. Created in 2015, under the impetus of Annie Fajeau, the choir has been directed for the past five years by Isabelle Oriez. It brings together some twenty experienced singers emanating from various local and regional choirs. Its repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the present day, with a particular focus on the Baroque period.
For this concert, the choir and accompanying instrumental ensemble have concocted a program that resonates with the works in the Musée Angladon's permanent collection. They invite us to take a musical stroll from the Renaissance to the Baroque, Classical and contemporary eras. Audiences will hear: "Mignonne allons voir si la rose" (G. Costeley); "Au joly boys" (C. De Sermisy); "Le chant des oyseaux" (Clément Janaquin); "Cantate domino" (C. Monteverdi); "Ave verum", (W. Byrd); "Jesus meine freude" -extracts- (J.S. Bach); "Mottets opus 7 (Elgar), as well as folk songs from the Swedish, Czech,
and Armenian repertoires.

Free admission.
