The theatre companie tours the world over with its performances, and is one of the leading lights in Avignon which hosts internationally-known artists and emerging talent and of course thousands of spectators every season. An accredited stage in Avignonb ('Scène d'Avignon') the Théâtre du Chêne Noir is funded by the French Ministry of Culture - DRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the PACA Regional Council, Vaucluse, County Council and the City of Avignon.
There are 2 theatre rooms:
- Léo Ferré, seats 288 persons.
- John Coltrane, seats 104 persons.
