Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier

Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier's ambition is to be a think-tank focusing on social, societal and philosophical issues. Through its forum-theater performances and literary theater programming, most of the issues played out or debated within the association are of broad interest to all those involved in culture, as well as to those who are usually excluded from it.

The Theatre Department is committed to cultural democratization and audience recognition, and to supporting creation and production. Its actions are underpinned by artistic and humanist principles, as well as political choices.

The vocation of the Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier is to serve and present works, mainly from contemporary theater or the classical repertoire, which it may produce or co-produce, and whose distribution it supports in performing arts networks. It also aims to be a place of exchange, hosting public debates.
