Les Hivernales - Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National d'Avignon has been working to develop dance in the region for over 45 years.
All year long, the CDC-Les Hivernales proposes acitivities that raises public awareness about choreography and choreographic culture. Performances, residences for choreographers, classes and encounters in its own theatre.
Plus special seasonal events for the CDC
- Les Hivernales: the Les Hivernales dance festival takes place every winter, in February and March. The festival has now been going on for 40 years, and is the place for classes and performances, inside Avignon city walls and throughout the surrounding area.
- The "On (y) danse aussi l'été !" festival in the summer, every summer in July.
