The fortress in the town of Mornas stands atop a 137-meter high cliff, like a sentinel warning of things to come and protecting the medieval village of Mornas.
Standing high above the valley by the fortress ramparts, the view is breathtaking, sweeping the horizon and taking in Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Rhône valley and the majestic river as it flows to the sea. At the fortress in Mornas, life has stood still in the Middle Ages. Knights and lords, damsels and lovely ladies take you with them through history. A marvelous trip back in time, and unforgettable memories.
During the animated tours, the Mornas Fortress brings to life the 13th century, with explanations and animation by costumed knights and ladies.
Animated visits are offered on weekends and holidays starting in April, and every day in July and August.
You can also visit on your own, from Monday to Friday in April, May, June and September. Brochures in F, GB, NL, D, SP.
