This museum is housed in the entry rooms and chapel of the 18th-century Hôtel-Dieu, which was acquired in 1907. The objects and legacy collected by the Jouve family and Cavaillon inhabitants testify to the development of Cavaillon and the western Luberon from Prehistory, Roman times and the Middle Ages. There are Gallo-Greek and Gallo-Roman stelae and altars, coins, prehistoric tools, proto-historical and Roman pottery, columns and column capitals, and other objects.
The ticket includes the guided tour of the Cavaillon synagogue - Judeo-Comtadin Museum.
