Eglise Saint Etienne
Tourist service in Cadenet :
A church remarkable for its homogeneity, architecture and furnishings. The gargoyles on the buttresses welcome you to the foot of this massive edifice.
Hardly anything remains of the original Church built in the 11th century by the Saint-Eusèbe de Saignon. In 1173, the edifice was handed over to the Saint-Victor Abbey of Marseilles and a fortified priory was added on, which is currently the Presbytery. The current Church did not exist until the 11th century, and the plague in 1351 put a halt to the growth of the village and Church. In the 16th century, construction of the Church was finished, with the Bell Tower being added in the 19th century. Free entry
