Malemort du Comtat is a rural village located 10 kilometers to the east of Carpentras in a hilly site between Mont de Vaucluse and Mont Ventoux, at the exit from the Nesque river valley. The village has remained a farming community and has wide stretches of open land and hillyl countryside surrounding the village center, which has retained many architectural remains of its past, such as ruins of the ramparts, fountains and washing wells, the St Félix et d' Unang castle, and the farm implement museum.
