Chefs love to come work in the historical kitchens that once served this former mansion in Avignon. Here they officiate at the 19th-century wood-fired stove.
Food lovers from all over love this relaxed yet instructive time where secrets are shared in a beautiful historical setting. Aprons, utensils and printed information are all provided to the students, and classes end with a magnificent meal paired with wines selected by our sommelier.
The spirit of friendship and good times prevails, and cooking students can invite friends to join them after class, and join in the meal they have prepared.
The themes for the cooking and pastry classes change with the seasons, and with the chef’s desires for what he or she wants to share with the students.
Chef Florent Pietravalle gives you the opportunity to enter the unique sphere of Michelin-starred gastronomy. This is your opportunity to discover gastronomic cooking, at the dining table and in the wings, during his class entitled "Immersion in starred cuisine".
Séverine Sagnet, former chef at La Table Haute at La Mirande, continues to share her passion for traditional gastronomy, with her food-lover outings. Shopping at the Avignon market Les Halles, visiting the shops and tradespersons in Avignon all add to the fun of preparing a 3-course meal, a meal that is simple and straightforward. The experience continues with dining all together and pairing the food with Rasteau wines.
For food lovers with a sweet tooth, we suggest the pâtisserie classes dreamed up for every taste: macarons, profiteroles, bûches... Celebrated pastry chefs and chocolate-makers share their recipes and insiders’ tips with themes they offer that showcase their talents
Also, throughout the entire year, we offer classes for young cooks. Pastry classes for children as of the age of 7 totally stimulate their taste buds and their creativity. Textures and tastes, including chocolate, crispy, crunchy, fondant, plus games and good times for both playful and educational experiences. The art of eating well, the art of knowing good products, of associating textures and colours, all this and more is conveyed to young pupils. From following the recipe to tasting their creations, this means two hours of sheer gourmandise that of course ends with sharing in the enjoyment of their work.
