From Venice to Avignon - Etruscan collections of the Calvet Museum AVIGNON

On the occasion of the "Bella Italia in Avignon" week, the Lapidaire Museum exhibits some of its Etruscan collections in reserve. Some pieces come from the prestigious Venetian collection of the Nani di San Trovaso.

For this exhibition, the Lapidaire Museum highlights some of its collections in reserve, including a terracotta sarcophagus lid, urns from some of them from the prestigious Venetian collection of the Nani di San Trovaso.
An exceptional bronze statue, sheltered in the 18th century in the cabinet of curiosities of Esprit Calvet and the vases will complete the evocation of this fascinating civilization that flourished in central Italy for almost a thousand years.
