Châteauneuf-du-Pape revives the emblematic festival of the Véraison which celebrates the wines of the appellation and the medieval history of the village. During the weekend nobles, knights, minstrels, jugglers, merchants and tavern keepers take possession of the city.Noble knights and ladies, minstrels and jugglers, merchants and tavern owners invade the streets for three days of festivities and shows: historical re-enactments, encampments, parades, daily life sketches. In the tradition of the fairs of yesteryear, the great Medieval Market presents more than a hundred stalls.
Visitors will be able to taste the wines of the appellation in the cellars (from 10am to 7pm) and then at the mule barrel or at the fountain from 7pm.
Sunday, August 06 at 9:30 pm: Great fire show with the Imaziren Company.
Discover the flavors of medieval and provençal cuisine ! Enjoy music,
song and dance while you dine in the restaurants of the village.
