Tour du Colorado provençal RUSTREL

In a landscape carved out of the rockface, Rustrel's ochre deposits were quarried up until the 1990s. With its chimneys, sandstone circus, and colourful dusty paths, this unique landscape recalls the Luberon's industrial past.

The path leads through vales that are alive with colour, while a few vestiges such as an old water line remind us that this site used to be an open-air ochre quarry.
Start from Rustrel village.
