Between the scrubland and the Durance river
Tourist service in Mérindol :
Starting point: Parking area, La Garrigue forest, to the south of the village. The trail passes through Protected Natural Sites. It invites you to explore the great biodiversity of this typically Mediterranean aquatic area.
The itinerary crosses the garrigue forest planted with Aleppo pines, shrub oaks and rockrose, before joining the banks of the Durance River which flows down from the Alps. Don't miss the bird observatory which allows you to discover the wild birds that have made their home on the river.
