Musique Sacrée et Orgue en Avignon

Organ in Avignon and Organ Tribute to Messiaen, encouraged by local government, merged together and were integrated into Musique Sacrée en Avignon.

The new entity is now known as 'Musique Sacrée et Orgue en Avignon' and gives rise to new synergy. This non-profit association seeks to be more effective and farther-reaching throughout the year, both during the Festival and outside of the Festival. They propose several events and live performances in outstanding historical venues.

This meets the expectations of their audiences and of local government bodies who back them: City of Avignon, Communauté d’Agglomération du Grand Avignon, Conseil Départemental de Vaucluse and Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The association provides access to sacred music and to our rich heritage of organs, to all audiences, from all backgrounds and in all geographical areas. The assocation is active in the following events:
European Heritage Days, Automnales de l’Orgue, Les Grands Concerts de musiques sacrées, Concerts at the Chapelle Saint-Louis, Musiques Spirituelles du Soir, Heures d’Orgue, Route des Orgues in Vaucluse and in the South Rgion Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the Messiaen Days and the Sacred Music Cycle during the Avignon Festival. The association works on the creation of events, diffusion, awareness-raising and education, and also seeks to uphold and teach about the outstanding organ assets in this area.
