The existence of the Antique Toy and Doll museum is all down to Madame Huguette Jeanselme, a native of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The wax, cardboard and wooden dolls, with eyes open and shut, on display in every room, take you straight back to your childhood. The museum houses a variety of unique exhibits - from the 18th century to modern day - including teddy bears, cars and a range of doll accessories.
This private collection includes a range of original and extraordinary exhibits dating from 1880 to 1920 including dolls, toys and old automatons.
The different makes, the quality of materials, the excellent condition, the authenticity and scarcity of the items on display, not to mention the clothes, boxes and accessories (all original, of course), make this a fascinating visit for any collector.
Open all year and throughout the day during school holidays.
It is necessary to book in advance for groups.
