The Tourist Office has relocated to the wide Avenue de la République, lined with café/brasseries, a traditional restaurant, a tobacconist and other buildings – the place is bustling with life. The office is located in front of a blue area with free parking at 25 meters and bike parking. Our visitors are delighted with the parking situation, reflected in our customer satisfaction surveys.
The documents available to the public are varied and presented in a targeted manner to guide and facilitate the visitor’s choices.
The Municipality of Courthézon has a functional, practical structure, with a concern for both aesthetics and accessibility for senior citizens, pushchairs, and people with disabilities.
It was inaugurated on June 13th, 2015, at the beginning of the tourist season, and the Council and the Tourist Office are partners who maintain a permanent dialogue which should allow this place of welcome to continue to evolve.
The New Tourist Office also has an interesting history; it once welcomed horses! The office used to be the enclosure of the old Cornillac Forge, a fond memory of the previous generation. To preserve the spirit of this place where horseshoes were forged, the Courthézon municipality wanted the front of the office to combine modernity - raw metal is very trendy today - and the craft that used to be practiced there.
The Mediterranean Sustainable Buildings Association awarded this building, and the transformation of the old forge into the Tourist Office, 87 points for design, making it gold level, obtained on November 12th, 2013, and 85 points for renovation, also gold level, obtained on May 21st, 2015.
The Tourist Office is certified "Accueil Vélo"!
