A unique natural cave in Provence. A trip in time to discover a surprising underground world.
Discovered in 1902 by quarry workers, the Thouzon cave remains intact thanks to immediate development. You will walk through a fossil river bed of an underground river which previously dug this tunnel out. The only natural cave in Provence. A magical spectacle of the mineral world where the work of water has left its mark. You can see different types of crystallisation including stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and pools. Minerals shop, refreshment area, ice creams, picnic areas and large, free shaded parking. The temperature of the cave is 13°C. Guided tour in English (book in advance).
Free for under-5s. Opening hours: Open in March from 2 to 6.15 pm on Sundays 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. 1 April to 13 June and from 14 September to 1 November: open every day from 10 to 12.15 and 2 to 6.15. From 14 June to 13 September: open every day from 10am to 6.30 pm.
