After the beautiful Verdon River Canyons, the Nesque River Canyons ('les Gorges de la Nesque') are the most spectacular in Provence. This beautiful hydrogeological site has formed grandiose, wild canyons, with magnificent rock formations, which can be seen from the road, jutting out over the precipice.The road, the D 942 from Villes-sur-Auzon to Monieux, has a few tunnels and several majestic lookout points, especially the Castelleras belvedere, which faces the magnificent 'Rocher du Cire'. Guide books are available at the Tourist Office of Monieux.
