Wines and vineyards /

The appellations and discovery itineraries through the vineyards

Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Ventoux, Côtes du Luberon, 3 wines of the south of France – three appellations which cover the growing areas in Vaucluse. The vineyards grow on a wide range of terroirs, in highly varying soils and climates which produce rich and varied wines. The Rhone Valley stretches from Avignon to the northern Rhone vineyards, passing at the foot of Châteauneuf du Pape and the slopes on the Dentelles de Montmirail.;

Majestic Mont Ventoux stands guard over the vineyards whose appellation is named after the famous mountain.

The Luberon offers the very poetry of its hills and light to its appellation. The touring itineraries through the vineyards and the vintner walking paths lead to in-depth discovery of a land, the men, the landscapes and the villages. A great way to visit Vaucluse.

AOC Ventoux

Mont Ventoux has been ranked a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. At the base and along the foothills of Mont Ventoux, vineyards which benefit from many different soils, terroirs, and a long history. Man has worked these fields for over two thousand years, which can only add to the strong character of the Côtes du Ventoux wines.

Itineraries and vintner trails in the Côtes du Ventoux

Itineraries and vintner trails in the Côtes du Ventoux
The Côtes de Ventoux appellation covers 51 towns from Puyméras to Apt, and including Carpentras. This accounts for 7801 hectares on which the exhuberant, fragrant Côtes-du-Ventoux wines are produced. Land with varied landscapes which give rise to the expressive wines. Five itineraries lead visitors to the authenticity and beauty of the area. A lovely brochure written by the Côtes du Ventoux Syndicat Général des Vignerons is available in the local Tourism Offices. The Côtes du Ventoux are also one of the roads in the Inter-Rhône brochure.
