The CYCLING WELCOME Charter in Vaucluse

Vaucluse has prepared a warm welcome for cycling fans. All the partners you need have joined together in a "WELCOME CHARTER" for cyclists, offering the best equipment and services for their cycling clients. Hotels, guest rooms, campgrounds, gîtes, group accommodations and others are all part of the

"Charte d’Accueil Vélo", or the Cyclists' Reception Charter.  Services offered include secured bike premises, athletic breakfasts and picnics, bike rental, repair kits, wine cellar visits, visits of museums and crafts studios. Cycling circuits in the Upper Vaucluse are already marked with the official cycling marks.

In the Luberon Regional Park

 

The association Vélo Loisirs en Luberon allies professionals (accommodations, renters, taxis, restaurants, cultural sites, wine cellars, guides and travel agencies) who offer all the services you may need to facilitate a cycling stay. The itinerary follows small roads chosen for the beauty of the sites and villages. Cycling loops outside of the circuit have also been laid out to help you discover many different things – the ochre lands, the Côtes du Luberon vineyards, the perched villages, the cedar forest in Bonnieux...

Road biking itinerary along the Calavon

a green path along the former railroad tracks between Bonnieux and St Martin-de-Castillon. 11 km of perfectly peaceful biking in the Apt area !
This itinerary is going to be extended and should soon include a biking path between Cavaillon and Forcalquier.

In the Mont Ventoux area.

Mont Ventoux peaks at 1912 meters, and is legendary among cyclists. Using the vélodateur instrument, you can measure your own climbing time, from Bedoin, Malaucène or Sault to the top.
Specially designed itineraries for those who prefer mountain bikes.
At the foot of Mont Ventoux lie the Comtat Venaissin plains and the cherry orchards, Côtes du Ventoux vineyards, lavender fielsd (on the Sault side). Lovely small roads in the Nesque river valleyl and the Toulourenc valley – a circuit for everyone, to the delight of all !!

In Avignon,

there is a wonderful family-style outing which goes from the city centre onto Barthelasse Island, a peaceful, green haven just opposite the city.

In the Rhône valley,

a 25-km cycling circuit leads you from Avignon to Chateauneuf du Pape, the famous vineyards in the Côtes du Rhône growing area.
