Medieval celebration, Celebrating the Spelt Crop
Spelt, or spelz, from Haute Provence is a true ancestor to modern wheat and grain, and it has been grown on the Sault plateau for over 9,000 years.
To celebrate it: a medieval theme for great atmosphere and fun, complete with tournaments, fire-eaters, and slices of medieval life.
The villagers are garbed in period costumes and offer their wares from their craft shops.
All day long you’ll be able to enjoy a crafts fair, a market of local terroir products, horse-show, parades in the streets, little farm, demonstrations of old-time trades and peddlers and musicians throughout the village.
There is a banquet space in the courtyard of the Truffle Museum. Tickets are on sale directly at the museum as of 10 am.
