Paul Gauguin and Odilon Redon at the Calvet Museum AVIGNON

Following an exchange of paintings with the Von der Heydt-Museum in Wuppertal, the public will be able to admire two exceptional still- lifes, one by Paul Gauguin and the other by Odilon Redon.

Favorable to the sharing of its collections, the Calvet Museum is particularly attentive to requests for loans from all over the world.
Since the beginning of 2017, more than twenty of their paintings have traveled ; the audiences of Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Genoa, New York, Treviso, Basel, Giverny ... have thus benefited from the heritage of Avignon.

These requests are an opportunity to organize rich exchanges.
In partnership with the Von der Heydt-Museum in Wuppertal, to which the Calvet Museum has granted the "Guitare & Chapeau" loan from E. Manet, it will present in exchange two exceptional still-lifes from the collection of the German museum, one by P. Gauguin, the other by O. Redon.
