Baroncelli's Palace - Between Provence and Toscane AVIGNON

This exhibition is part of a cycle and evokes the first life of the Palais du Roure when it was the home of the Baroncelli, from the mid-15th century to the beginning of the 20th century. It tells a family and a place over half a millennium.

After four years of construction, the restored Palais du Roure will re-open its doors during the European Heritage Days, presenting a new youth.

From September 2017 to January 2020, the Renewal Cycle of the Palais du Roure will develop its five acts; Five exhibitions, each accompanied by a publication.
This cycle will allow for the first time a complete understanding of this rich and original place, moving through its history, its hosts and its collections.
This first opus evokes the first life of the Palace, when it was the home of the Baroncelli, from the mid 15th to the early 20th century.
Pontifical pulpit, period portraits, 15th-century archives ... through works and documents that are evocative, the exhibition tells a family and a place over half a millennium.
