The existence of the Antique Toy and Doll museum is all down to Mme Huguette Jeanselme, a native of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The wax, cardboard and wooden dolls, with eyes open and shut, on display in every room, take you straight back to your childhood. The museum houses a variety of unique exhibits, from the 18th century to modern day, including teddy bears, cars and a range of doll accessories.
Open all year, Monday to Sunday from 10: 30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m..
This private collection includes a range of original and extraordinary exhibits dating from 1880 to 1920 including dolls, toys and old automatons. The different makes, the quality of materials, the excellent condition, the authenticity and scarcity of the items on display, not to mention the clothes, boxes and accessories (all original, of course), make this a fascinating visit for any collector.
Open throughout the day during school holidays. Advance booking required for groups. Every year, during the 2nd half of April, the Museum organises the Doll and Toy Show (booking on line) Reduced rates for groups (minimum of 10 people): 2.50 Euros. Children under 6 free.
