Avignon Blues Festival

With the best artists from the French stage and international stages, a superb vision of the eclectic musical nature of the Blues. <br />The offerings in 2011 had payed tribute to John Lee Hooker with his son and daughter along with their group on Friday night. Saturday's concert is also totally outstanding with Bernard Allison.. <br />Friday 7 October: homage to John Lee Hooker on the 10th anniversary of his death. First act is Zakiya Hooker, his daughter, accompanied by her group, followed by her brother John Lee Hooker Junior, who will also play with his group, coming from the United States for this occasion. Saturday 8 October: first act with Bernard Allison.<br />Since 1998, the association La Voix du Blues, a group of enthusiastic volunteers, regularly proposes Blues concerts, and Blues Nights in Cabannes, Althen des Paluds... . Avignon has been home to the Avignon Blues Festival for several years now. 2011 : 20 €/nignt - Pass 2 nights : 36 € - educed fee: 18 €.
