Vineyards are the highlight of this itinerary ! All the towns you cycle through are famous for their AOC Côtes du Rhône and AOC Ventoux wines and for their vineyards. You will also understand the importance of water as you ride across the Carpentras Canal and along the by-channel, amidst the scrubland between Sarrians and Vacqueyras. The availability of water also meant other crops could be raised here, such as the famous strawberry, vegetables, orchards and others.
